Hello Sumter! It's a MEET & GREET!

As a way to help fellow small business owners in Sumter & hopefully co-promote my own services, I am working to feature a new small business every Friday via blog!  :D  Hopefully, you will find ways to support our LOCAL businesses since each dollar we spend is a vote YES to that company and the way they’re doing business.

So, without further ado...

I am based out of my home as an Independent Distributor for Premier Designs Jewelry.  My phone number is 803-468-3481. One of the great things about my job is that I get to choose when I work. I usually try to do home shows on Tuesday and Thursday nights and usually one Saturday a month. Of course, I will work with my hostesses if those do not work for them.
1-   Tell me about yourself:  I am married to Jay Christmas. We actually met while we were in high school and I always thought that he was out of my league. I didn’t realize at the time that he had similar thoughts. We tried to date while he was in the Coast Guard and I was a junior in college. I fell head over heels in love with him but we broke up for several reasons. Years later, God blessed us with another chance and we have now been married for a year and a half. When I am not working, I like to read, spend time with my husband and family and attend Bethesda Church of God.
2-  Business background:  May will mark my 3 year anniversary in Premier Designs. I originally joined so that I could earn money to pay for my wedding. I did not originally plan to do this long term but have since realized how great a company it is and have been thoroughly blessed by it.

3-  What’s your typical day like?
Well, I actually do this part-time and work another full-time job. But, a typical jewelry party involves me arriving about 30 minutes prior and setting up my jewelry. When guests arrive, I do a short presentation that includes fashion tips. Afterwards, I let my customers try on jewelry and they have a no-pressure atmosphere to purchase whatever pieces they wish. I then total the orders up and get the chance to tell my hostess how much free jewelry she will receive. That is such a fun thing to do because they usually can’t believe the amount.
4-  What do you enjoy most about your business?
The better question is what do I not enjoy. However, I think the purpose of Premier is one of the best parts. Our purpose is to enrich every life we touch. I love to have a lady come to one of my parties who does not usually wear a lot of jewelry but I am able to encourage her that she can wear those fun pieces and not look silly. When I see her a few months later, she might not be wearing Premier, but I love that I have encouraged her to step out of her box and try something different.
5-  Tips for balancing it all?
The thing that helps me is to have a “to-do list.” I am somewhat of a “workaholic” but I have realized that you must have lazy days. It doesn’t mean you are actually lazy; it just means that you are working on yourself. If you don’t refuel every now and then, you will be no good to your business or anyone else.
6-  Truth or fiction:  (fun game I used to play in the big corporate world…  List 3 unusual / interesting things about yourself—two should be true & one should be fiction).  We’ll give the answer at the end of the interview!
A-  I am the oldest of 12 children.
B-  I own a Bicho Frise puppy named Jewel.
C-  I wanted to be a lawyer when I was in middle school.

7-  What are the benefits of using your services / business over others?
When you use my service, you will get the best customer service that I can offer and you will be getting a product that is backed by the company with a Golden Guarantee. Also, because a portion of every dollar sold is donated to missions both in the US and around the world, you will be helping others less fortunate than yourself.

Truth or Fiction:  A and C are TRUE!  :D

February, Already? Valentines Day is just 12 days away...

It's a good thing that I don't have to pay 25 cents per kiss... I would surely be broke!
Love getting kisses from these nuggets!  :D  Yum, yum, yum!

Over the Top! Glory to God!

I had the wonderful priviledge of photographing the Mountain Mover Ministries "Over the Top" event on Saturday night!  Wonderful music, excited youth, and the amazing Word of the Lord!  Words cannot express the beauty of the evening... I think that the old saying, "a picture is worth 1000 words" is definitely appropriate in this case!

Baby On Board!

I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting & photographing this amazingly beautiful soon-to-be mother of FOUR girls!  Yep-- she will be adding another beautiful girl to her clan!  We had a wonderful time... despite the cold weather out!  (Us SC girls are kinda wimps when it comes to the cold--- and I'm not ashamed to admit it!)  Anyhow-- she was sweet & sassy & a little sexy!  You will see!  And the coolest picture-- I think-- is of her with her hubby's ABDU shirt on!  Yes, yes, yes... this is one of those wonderfully magically tales of a soldier's family!  She is a rock star ... no doubt!  And by the very end, we were able to sneak in a quick picture of big sister B (age 7)-- who got to come along to the shoot with mommy today!  Such fun!

I am so excited for C & M!  Congratulations... once again!  :D

Valentine's Day...

A picture says 1000 words... right?  How about, "I love you" or "I'm absolutely adorable"...
Mini sessions in Sumter on Sunday, January 23rd (openings at 2:00, 2:20 and 2:40) and on Sunday, February 6th (openings from 2:00 on...)  Clean, simple, adorable photos of your little ones... will be debuting some new backdrops as well!  Yay!

E-Sesh-- C & G-- Fun, fun, fun!

Absolutely had a ball with this adorable couple and can't wait to be a part of their upcoming "big day" in May!  They weren't shy about KISSING-- which made me smile from ear to ear!  You can see their love for one another in the photos... and I love that!  We had so much fun... and I can't wait to see how beautiful C looks in a couple of months!
